BASIC SKILLS TRAINING

Participants in the basic education programs learn math, reading and other necessary literacy skills. Students may prepare for taking the General Education Development (GED) exam if they do not have a school diploma. Others may work toward obtaining an adult high school diploma, while others need only to brush-up on reading and math skills through work in learning labs.

DISLOCATED WORKER PROGRAM

The Dislocated Worker Program provides support for displaced workers to re-enter the job market. On-the-Job training, occupational skills, classroom training, basic education classes and supportive services are offered.

Providers (Case Management Services) Please note that providers of Adult and Dislocated Worker services are housed at NC Works Career Centers as part of the Integrated Services Delivery Model. However, staff and team members may be offsite providing services in an effort to assist customers. Collaborative efforts in the Turning Point Region allow for customers to have access to services in other locations that would be announced ahead for client convenience.
